Yesterday at CinemaCon, attendees were treated to the first look at Neon’s Spencer, a biopic on Princess Diana that stars Kristen Stewart. Today, the teaser for Spencer dropped, and beyond the lavish gowns and lifestyle is a haunting look at Diana Spencer’s life as she prepares to leave Prince Charles.

The official synopsis for Spencer is as follows:

“The marriage of Princess Diana and Prince Charles has long since grown cold. Though rumors of affairs and a divorce abound, peace is ordained for the Christmas festivities at the Queen’s Sandringham Estate. There’s eating and drinking, shooting and hunting. Diana knows the game. But this year, things will be profoundly different.”

The trailer shows Diana as she makes her way through the palace. One of her aides who is tending to her mentions that “they know everything” but Diana is quick to confide that they don’t.

Spencer is directed by Pablo Larraín and written by Steven Knight. Alongside Stewart, the film also stars Jack Farthing, Sally Hawkins, Timothy Spall, and Sean Harris.

Spencer will have its world premiere at Venice Film Festival before heading onto TIFF. It will make its theatrical debut on November 5.
