WATCH: Frank Iero Performs “The Unfortunate” for Yamaha Guitars

Share

Although Frank Iero may not be hitting the road for live shows again quite yet, fans can tune in to watch a new solo performance of his for Yahama Guitars.

In the video below, Iero performs the song “The Unfortunate,” which can be found on his 2019 album with Frank Iero and the Future Violents — Barriers.

For those interested in gear, Iero is playing a Yamaha CSF-TA TransAcoustic guitar through a Yamaha THR30IIA Wireless desktop amplifier.

As noted in Yahama’s video description, this performance is the first in a two-part series. Longtime fans will be pleased to learn that the second song is none other than “Lloyd Dobbler” by Pencey Prep, a New Jersey punk rock band from Iero’s pre-My Chemical Romance days. Pencey Prep’s first and only full-length album Heartbreak In Stereo, which is nearing its two-decade anniversary this November, was re-released digitally last year.

Frank Iero and the Future Violence (yes, with a C this time) dropped their latest release — Heaven Is A Place, This Is A Place — earlier this year. Meanwhile, fans can look forward to seeing My Chemical Romance embark on their highly anticipated Return tour in 2022 after two unfortunate years of postponements due to COVID-19.
