Dylan O’Brien Boards ‘Not Okay’ With Zoey Deutch
Per an exclusive report by Variety, the Searchlight Pictures satire film Not Okay has cast its male lead, Dylan O’Brien. O’Brien stars opposite Zoey Deutch who was previously announced to star in the film.
Not Okay tracks a misguided young woman desperate for friends and fame. She decides to fake a trip to Paris to gain a following on her social media platforms. However, the trip doesn’t go as planned. Outside of her warped reality, something real happens that gives her all of the attention she was looking for.
Not Okay also stars Mia Isaac (Don’t Make Me Go), Embeth Davidtz (Old), Nadia Alexander (Servant), Karan Soni (Deadpool), Negin Farsad (High Maintenance), Tia Dionne Hodge (The Land of Steady Habits), and Dash Perry. Quinn Shephard serves as writer and director.
In the last year, O’Brien has gone from a monster hunter in the apocalypse with Love and Monsters, a 30-something-year-old hyper fixated on the disappearance of a high school friend with Flashback, to a katana-wielding reincarnation in Infinite. Up next, O’Brien will appear in The Outfit with Mark Rylance, which is currently in post-production. He stars alongside Zoey Deutch in that film as well.
Filming for Not Okay is currently underway in New York City. Stay tuned for news as it follows.
