Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has revealed dates for Night of the Animated Dead’s Digital and On Demand release. An animated recreation of George A. Romero’s 1968 horror classic.
Night of the Animated Dead follows Barbara and Johnny, who visit their father’s grave in a remote Pennsylvania cemetery. Soon visited by zombies, Barbara comes across an abandoned farmhouse where she takes refuge. A group of locals and stranded motorist Ben also have the same idea, as they are found hiding in the cellar. Together, the group must fight to stay alive against the oncoming horde of zombies while also confronting their own fears and prejudices.
Night of the Animated Dead features a stellar voice cast with Josh Duhamel (Jupiter’s Legacy) as Harry Cooper, Dulé Hill (The West Wing) as Ben, Katharine Isabelle (Ginger Snaps) as Barbara, James Roday Rodriguez (A Million Little Things) as Tom, Katee Sackhoff (The Mandalorian) as Judy, Will Sasso (MadTV) as Sheriff McClelland, Jimmi Simpson (Westworld) as Johnny, and Nancy Travis (Last Man Standing) as Helen Cooper.
If you choose to get the Blu-ray or DVD, it does contain some special features, including a Making of the Animated Dead segment.

Coming to Digital September 21 and Blu-ray Combo Pack & DVD on October 5, pre-orders will open August 10.
