Since Disney acquired 21st Century Fox in March of 2019, fans have been waiting to see the future of Ryan Reynolds’ Merc with a Mouth. After a two-year wait, fans received the first look at Deadpool in the MCU when the character teamed up with Thor: Ragnarok‘s Korg (Taika Waititi) for a reaction-style YouTube video to promote Reynolds and Taika Waititi’s upcoming film Free Guy. Check out the YouTube video below to see how Deadpool and Korg come together.

The video comes a month ahead of the August 13 release for Free Guy, a movie about a video-game NPC bank teller, Guy (Reynolds) who develops free-will. Guy is then hunted by Antoine (Waititi), the films’ bad-guy who wants to put an end to this newly-sentient character. The film was under production with 21st Century Fox, but Disney continued production following the purchase of Fox.

Marvel boss Kevin Feige confirmed last year that Deadpool will be coming to the MCU, so it was only a matter of time before we got our first taste of what Deadpool will look like in this universe (spoiler: it involves language bleeps!). You can check out the official trailer for Free Guy here and see Waititi as Korg next in Thor: Love and Thunder releasing May 6, 2022.

Hasn't stopped crying about Arthur Morgan since 2018 with no plans to stop anytime soon and is convinced she could survive more than five nights at Freddy's. At her core, she's really just an aspiring vampire juice box. Based in Denver, CO.
