John Cena & Lil Rel Howery Led ‘Vacation Friends’ Lands Worldwide Premiere Date!
The star-studded 20th Century Studios film Vacation Friends has set a worldwide premiere date! Debuting as a Hulu Original in the United States on August 27, the film will be available for international viewing (wherever the platform is available) via Disney+ as a Star Original.
Directed by Clay Tarver (Silicon Valley), Vacation Friends follows Marcus and Emily (Lil Rel Howery and Yvonne Orji) who befriend another couple Ron and Kyla (John Cena and Meredith Hagner) on a trip to Mexico. The harrowing difference between the couples? Ron and Kyla are much more thrill-seeking, and they teach Marcus and Emily how to let loose and enjoy their trip. However, the chaos doesn’t stop there because months later at Marcus and Emily’s wedding, Ron and Kyla show up uninvited, ready to continue where they left off.
Vacation Friends also stars Robert Wisdom (The Alienist, Ballers), Andrew Bachelor (The Babysitter, Holidate), and Lynn Whitfield (Greenleaf, Madea’s Family Reunion).
The film is written by Tom Mullen, Tim Mullen, Clay Tarver, Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley. Producers for the film include Todd Garner (Tag, Playing with Fire) and Timothy M. Bourne (Love, Simon, The Hate U Give), with Steve Pink and Sean Robins serving as executive producers.
As part of the Star+ direct-to-consumer service launching in Latin America on August 31, Vacation Friends will be available to stream across the region.
