Another member of the Bridgerton family has been cast! Netflix announced that Rupert Evans (Charmed, 2018) will join the upcoming season of the streamer’s hit series Bridgerton as Edmund Bridgerton.

Edmund is described as “a loving and devoted husband” who’s proven himself to be the perfect match for his wife Violet. When it comes to his eight children, he is also a patient and kind father, who prides himself on guiding Anthony, the eldest Bridgerton sibling, through life.

As Edmund died (due to an allergic reaction from a bee sting), his presence in the second season indicates he will appear in flashback scenes, though how many is uncertain. He’s currently set to appear as a guest star.

Season 2 of Bridgerton will follow the second of Julia Quinn’s books in the series, The Viscount Who Loved Me. It will see Anthony set out to find himself a viscountess.

Stream the first season of Bridgerton now on Netflix. Stay tuned for more news on the upcoming second season!
