It’s being reported that Freddie Stroma (Bridgerton) has been cast in the Peacemaker series at HBO Max. Stroma will replace Chris Conrad’s Vigilante who has left the show due to creative differences. Deadline was the first to report the news.

In Peacemaker, Adrian Chase is a New York City district attorney seeking justice after his wife and children are killed by mobsters. The series will consist of eight episodes that will explore the origin story of John Cena’s Peacemaker.

Alongside Stroma and Cena, Peacemaker also stars Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo, Robert Patrick as Auggie Smith, Nhut Le as Judomaster, Steve Agee as John Economos, and Jennifer Holland as Emilia Harcourt.

James Gunn is set to write all the episodes and direct several of them. Gunn and Peter Safran will serve as executive producers and Cena will co-executive produce.
