The time is nearly here! HBO Max has announced that the long-awaited Friends: The Reunion special will arrive Thursday, May 27.
Although it was originally supposed to be a launch day special, shooting was delayed by the pandemic. Now, the special will celebrate the one-year anniversary of the WarnerMedia streamer’s launch instead.
The special is set to air from the comedy’s original soundstage, stage 24, on the Warner Bros Studio lot in Burbank for an unscripted celebration of the fan-favorite show feature. The entire original Friends cast, including Jennifer Aniston (Rachel Green), Courteney Cox (Monica Geller), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe), Matt LeBlanc (Joey Tribbiani), Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing), and David Schwimmer (Ross), are set to return for the event — not to mention a whole slew of A-list stars, including David Beckham, Justin Bieber, BTS, James Corden, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne, Lady Gaga, Elliott Gould, Kit Harington, Larry Hankin, Mindy Kaling, Thomas Lennon, Christina Pickles, Tom Selleck, James Michael Tyler, Maggie Wheeler, Reese Witherspoon and Malala Yousafzai.
The release date announcement was accompanied by a short teaser for the special, so if you weren’t excited before, this should do the trick. Check it out below.
