As reported by Variety, it has been announced that Amazon Prime Video will be releasing a podcast focused on the making of the second season of its hit series The Boys.

Set in a world where superheroes exist, The Boys is based on the comic book series by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. Many Supes have a tendency to abuse their powers, and the worst of them all can be found amongst the villainous Vought International’s personal team The Seven. The Boys, meanwhile, are a ragtag group of vigilantes working to take down Vought and the Supes once and for all … hopefully.

The Boys: The Official Podcast, which will consist of eight episodes, is due to drop its first two episodes on April 15. The rest of the episodes will arrive weekly up through May 27. Hosted by journalist Tim Kash, guests will include showrunner Eric Kripke, executive producers Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen, and other members of the cast and crew.

Notable stars will include some representation from both the Boys and the Supes: Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alanso, Chace Crawford, Karen Fukuhara and Aya Cash. Meanwhile, listeners can also expect to hear from supersuit designer Laura Jean “LJ” Shannon, visual effects supervisor Stephan Fleet, and stunt coordinator Tig Fong. And yes, amongst other things, they’ll definitely be talking about Lucy the whale.

The Boys: The Official Podcast will be available via Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, Spotify, or wherever you listen to your podcasts!

Season 3 of The Boys began filming in Ontario, Canada at the end of February. A release date has not yet been announced. In the meantime, make sure to follow along with our coverage of the series!
