Spirit Untamed is the next chapter in DreamWorks Animation’s beloved franchise that began in 2002 with the Oscar-nominated film Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. It tells the epic story of Lucky Prescott, a headstrong young girl dreaming of a place to belong. Lucky discovers a kindred spirit in a wild horse who unexpectedly enters her life.
Things will take a drastic turn when a heartless horse wrangler, along with his team, plans on capturing the wild horse named Spirit and his herd to auction them off to a life of captivity and hard labor. Lucky and her friends will go on a life-changing adventure to save the horse that gave her a sense of purpose and even discover more about herself and the legacy her mother left behind.
Spirit Untamed stars Isabela Merced, Julianne Moore, Jake Gyllenhaal, Marsai Martin, Mckenna Grace, Walton Goggins, Andre Braugher, and Eiza González. It’s directed by Elaine Bogan and produced by Karen Foster. You can watch the new animated adventure in theaters on June 4, 2021.
