Amazon Studios has announced its latest project: Hot Pink, with Sarah Michelle Gellar attached. The pilot is loosely based on Elana K. Arnold’s What Girls Are Made Of, which tells the story of a 16-year-old girl who was raised to believe that unconditional love doesn’t exist — but she will do anything to prove her worthiness to her boyfriend. When he breaks up with her, she is determined to uncover the real conditions of love.

No specifications are being made available at this time as to who Gellar will play. The coming of age series was created by Elisabeth Holm, who will also executive produce with Rebecca Green, Sue Naegle, and Ali Krug for the production company Annapurna. Desiree Akhavan will direct.
