Billy Eichner has gone from the street to Hollywood romance with his new project! The actor and writer best known for his shows Billy on the Street and Difficult People has announced that his film Bros will debut on August 12, 2022. Bros is notable for being the first major release romantic comedy centered around a gay couple, with Eichner becoming the first openly gay man to star in and write a major studio film.

The film was co-written by Eichner and Nicholas Stoller, with Stoller directing and Eichner playing the leading role. The film’s plot is under wraps for now, but it will focus on two men with commitment issues trying to sustain a relationship. No other casting news has been announced yet.
