Universal Orlando Resort Announces the Reopening of Volcano Bay Water Theme Park Later This Month

Universal Orlando Resort has announced that it will be reopening its Volcano Bay water theme park starting Saturday, February 27.

One of three theme parks at Universal Orlando, the tropical oasis offers a variety of relaxing and exciting experiences for the whole family to enjoy. Guests visiting the water park will be transported to a paradise inspired by the south-seas where they can stick their toes into the sands of Waturi Beach, drift down Kopiko Wai Winding River, brave a 125-foot drop near the volcano on Ko’okiri Body Plunge, plus more, all while being surrounded by a massive 200-foot volcano in the center of the theme park.

Volcano Bay is implementing park health and safety regulations. Temperature screenings will be enforced for guests and team members. The park will be limiting capacity on attractions, enforcing social distancing, aggressive cleaning and disinfection procedures, and requiring guests to wear face coverings inside restaurants, retail locations, and entering and exiting the park. However, face coverings will not be permitted while on slides and pools.

Guests can start purchasing tickets for Volcano Bay now. Vacation packages and three-day park annual and seasonal passes that include Volcano Bay will be available for purchase in the weeks to come.

You can find more information on the park’s health and safety guidelines and the reopening of Volcano Bay by visiting Universal Orlando’s official website.
