As well as being an actress, Genevieve Padalecki is known for being a staunch advocate for environmentalism and sustainability, something that she often showcases on her blog, Now & Gen, as well as her social media.

Padalecki recently took to Twitter to tease a new sustainability project, take only what we need (towwn for short), coming in February.

While not much is known about the project as of just yet,  Padalecki did share links to the project/organization’s website and Instagram page. The brief description below was shared about the project on towwn’s website:

The earth isn’t the only one feeling burnt out.

Stuck in a cycle of doomscrolling and overconsumption, people are running low on natural resources, too. That’s why we believe sustainability is about more than saving the planet. It’s about reconnecting to what truly sustains us and learning how we can take only what we need.

Here you’ll find a place to share ideas, solutions and inspiration – or just stress spiral with friends. We won’t judge.

We hope you’ll join us.*

In addition to launching take only what we need, Gen will also soon be starring in Walker on The CW! We are so excited for Gen’s upcoming projects and can’t wait to see what she gets up to next. Stay tuned for more updates.
