Florence Pugh Will Star In and Produce Murder Mystery ‘The Maid’
Deadline has exclusively announced that Florence Pugh will play the lead character in The Maid, a murder mystery based on the upcoming novel by Nita Prose. The novel, which will be published in 2022, followed the story of Molly, who according to the publisher
is used to being invisible in her job at the Regency Grand Hotel, tidying the guests’ messes and sweeping up their secrets, until she discovers an infamous wealthy guest, Mr Black, dead in his bed. And so she’s thrown into a Clue-style hunt for the truth, learning who to trust in a world where people often take advantage of her difference.
Pugh will also produce the film. This latest announcement comes as Pugh has begun filming Don’t Worry Darling with Olivia Wilde, Harry Styles, Chris Pine and more, not to mention her upcoming roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Black Widow and Hawkeye.
