Three Cheers for Sweet Collabs — HipDot Releases My Chemical Romance Makeup Collection!

The year 2020 is definitely “Not Okay,” but this announcement certainly is (I Promise). On Tuesday, the cruelty-free, vegan cosmetics brand HipDot posted a cryptic video featuring a burning rose with My Chemical Romance’s “Give ‘Em Hell, Kid” playing in the background.

After that brief tease, HipDot revealed that they’re taking things all the way back to 2004 with their latest collaboration, which is inspired by My Chemical Romance’s second (and arguably their best) studio album, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge. The limited edition makeup line includes an eyeshadow palette, a double-ended eye brush, and double-ended liquid eyeliner.

The eyeshadow palette is enclosed in a case featuring the album’s cover artwork, and the nine shades inside reflect the album’s color scheme (check out swatches from the palette here.) The color pans have Three Cheers-related designs stamped into them, and the names of the shades are taken from song lyrics from the album.

Saints Protect Her (“Interlude”)
Pitchfork Red (“It’s Not a Fashion Statement, It’s a F*cking Deathwish”)
Serpent Son (“Thank You for the Venom”)
Starless Eyes (“It’s Not a Fashion Statement, It’s a F*cking Deathwish”)
Shotgun Sinners (“Hang ‘Em High”)
All The Ghosts (“The Ghost of You”)
Mausoleum Door (“Cemetery Drive”)
Flock of Doves (“You Know What They Do to Guys Like Us in Prison”)
Explosive Light (“Bury Me in Black”)

The eyeshadow brush is tipped in red, and both it and the eyeliner feature the band’s Three Cheers-era logo.

All three items are also available in a collector’s box, which includes a My Chemical Romance pin.

The items from this limited edition collaboration are now on sale as of 12 p.m. PST/3 p.m. EST. Three lucky fans that order the collector’s box within the first 72 hours will be randomly chosen to receive a box signed by a member of the band.

Update: All items from this limited edition collection have sold out. Pre-orders for the restock were also added, which HipDot states will not be delivered until mid to late March. Pre-orders have now sold out as well.
