Creekwood High has gained another student! Jackson Sheppeard, a personal trainer as well as actor, announced on his Instagram that he has joined the season 2 cast of the Hulu original series Love, Victor! Though there is currently little information about the role, Sheppeard confirmed that his character is one of Victor’s teammates on the school’s basketball team.

Sheppeard joins Betsy Brandt, Ava Capri, and Anthony Keyvan as newcomers to the series. As with Brandt, Capri, and Kevyan, it’s likely that Sheppeard’s role in the show will also be recurring. The four will co-star alongside series regulars Michael Cimino, Rachel Hilson, George Sear, Anthony Turpel, Isabella Ferreira, Mason Gooding, Bebe Wood, Ana Ortiz, Mateo Fernandez, and James Martinez.

If you are unfamiliar with the show, Love, Victor follows Victor Salazar (Cimino) after he and his family move from Texas to Georgia. Season 1 focuses on Victor as he learns to adjust to a new setting, navigate an increasingly tense home life as his parents’ marriage threatens to fall apart, and discovers his sexual identity and learns how to understand it and accept himself.

Filming for season 2 is currently underway. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available, and find our other Love, Victor coverage (including our season 1 review and season 2 hopes) here. Stream season 1 of Love, Victor now on Hulu.
