ICYMI: Marvel Shares New ‘Black Panther’ Tribute Honoring Chadwick Boseman

Share:

On November 29, colleagues, family, friends, and fans of the late Chadwick Boseman took to social media to honor the actor on what would have been his 44th birthday. Many of his co-stars remembered the light and joy he brought to film sets, sharing fond memories of Boseman they gained through the years, along with other entertainment professionals — ranging from talk show hosts to journalists — remembering their time with Boseman. Fans shared the way Boseman’s work impacted their lives, reminiscing on and exemplifying the legacy Boseman created.

One particularly noteworthy tribute to Boseman came from Marvel Studios and Disney+ in Black Panther. In place of the typical opening title card for Marvel Studios, which usually features each of the main characters from the MCU, the new tribute is dedicated solely to Boseman. It features him as T’Challa/Black Panther in promotional images for the film, movie stills, and video footage from Black Panther. It’s a beautiful tribute fit for the King himself.

Watch the tribute to Boseman below. Black Panther is streaming now on Disney+.
