Get your space suits ready, because the Netflix original series Space Force is returning! The Hollywood Reporter announced that the series will return for season 2.
The series follows General Mark R. Naird, who’s tasked with heading the sixth and newest branch of the military — Space Force. Along with a team of scientists, Naird works towards getting “boots on the moon by 2024.”
Season 1 saw the creation of Space Force, as Naird faced pushback from other military leaders, failed experiments, and also successes. He was also facing personal challenges with his wife and his daughter. The season ended on a cliffhanger that will hopefully be addressed at the start of season 2.
Space Force stars Steve Carell, John Malkovich, Tawny Newsome, Jimmy O. Yang, Don Lake, Diana Silvers, and Ben Schwartz, among others. It was created by Carell and Greg Daniels (Parks and Recreation, The Office). Read our season 1 review here.
