The first look at the upcoming Netflix film from Robert Rodriquez (Spy Kids, The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl 3-D) has finally arrived, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly.

We Can Be Heroes, which is set in the Sharkboy and Lavagirl universe, follows the story of a superhero team — the Heroics — who are kidnapped by alien invaders. As a result of that, their 11 children are forced to team up and learn to work together to save their parents … and the world.

The film stars Pedro Pascal as Marcus Moreno (a superhero on the verge of retirement), YaYa Gosselin as Young Missy (Marcus’ daughter who is yet to discover her own powers), Christian Slater, Boyd Holbrook, Priyanka Chopra, and more.
