Lana Parrilla and Matthew Daddario Join Cast of ‘Why Women Kill’

Fandoms are colliding as Lana Parrilla and Matthew Daddario gear up to grace our screens once more. The Once Upon a Time and Shadowhunters alums, respectively, have been officially added to the season 2 cast of Why Women Kill. Parrilla will star as Rita, “the sardonic wife of the wealthy and evil” Carlo Castillo, who has not been cast yet. Rita enters an affair with Scooter, who will be played by Daddario. Scooter is “a charming and sexy aspiring actor” who also takes on a secret relationship.

Parrilla and Daddario join B.K. Cannon (Switched at Birth), Jordane Christie (Containment), Allison Tolman (Fargo), and Nick Frost (Into the Badlands). Why Women Kill is an anthology series that explores the truth hidden behind the personas people choose to share with the world, being ignored by society, and how far one woman will go to finally belong. It was created by Marc Cherry.

There is currently no release date for season 2. You can watch the first season now on CBS All Access.
