Season 2 Release Date and Cast Announcements for ‘Pennyworth’ Revealed at NYCC

At New York Comic Con (NYCC), there was a season two Pennyworth panel that had Paloma Faith (Bet Sykes), Jack Bannon (Alfred Pennyworth), Bruno Heller (executive producer), Ben Aldridge (Thomas Wayne), and moderated by Damian Holbrook from TV Guide. During the panel, they announced release dates, new cast members, and more.

The series is the origin story of Alfred Pennyworth, the iconic Bruce Wayne butler and Batman confidant. Not many people know that Pennyworth was a former British SAS soldier who ends up working for Thomas Wayne, Bruce’s dad, through his security company.

Fans will be able to watch the first few episodes of season 2 beginning December 13, with the remaining premiering in 2021. Plus, joining the cast are Simon Manyonda as American scientist Lucius Fox and Jessica de Gouw as Melanie Troy. She is a military orphan who had to grow up too fast. There are also some new series regulars joining the cast: James Purefoy, Edward Hogg, Jessye Romeo, Ramon Tikaram, and Harriet Slater. But wait, we have more!
