The cat’s out of the bag — The Addams Family animated movie is getting a sequel!
The film’s plot remains unknown at this time, but as expected, the studio states that “The Addams get tangled up in wacky adventures and find themselves involved in hilarious run-ins with all sorts of unsuspecting characters. Always staying true to themselves, the Addams Family brings their iconic spookiness and kookiness wherever they go.”
The original cast will be returning for the film, including Charlize Theron, Oscar Isaac, Chloë Grace Moretz, Nick Kroll, Bette Midler, and Snoop Dogg. Bill Hader will be joining the film as a new character named Cyrus, and Javon Walton will voice Pugsley Addams.
Alongside this announcement, MGM Studios has also launched The Addams Family Voice Challenge. Fans in the United States have until November 4 to send in a short sound clip with their creepiest, kookiest, spookiest voice for a chance to be featured in the film and to win $2,000!
The Addams Family 2 is set to arrive in theaters just in time for Halloween next year, on October 8, 2021. The film will be directed by Greg Tiernan and Conrad Vernon.
