‘To Sleep in a Sea of Stars’ by Christopher Paolini Optioned for Film

Christopher Paolini, bestselling author of Eragon, released a new sci-fi novel last month, and a movie adaptation is now in the works! To Sleep in a Sea of Stars marks Paolini’s debut into adult fiction. Made Up Stories and Snoot Entertainment have optioned the film rights for the book. Paolini will collaborate with his sister Angela on the adaptation, and both will serve as executive producers.

To Sleep in a Sea of Stars follows Kira Navárez, who’s dreamed of life on new worlds. However, during a routine mission on an uncolonized planet, Kira is excited to discover an alien relic that quickly dissolves into terror. Soon Kira is pulled into the throes of war among the stars spanning galaxies. With Earth on the brink of annihilation, Kira may become humanity’s last hope.
