Some exciting news from a galaxy far, far away has finally landed.
The Mandalorian, the first live-action Star Wars series, premiered on Disney+ last November. The first season consisted of eight episodes, which introduced viewers to a nostalgic yet brand-new Star Wars story full of compelling characters, beautiful sets and cinematography, and a fantastic soundtrack to tie it all together. The show received an impressive and well-deserved 15 nominations for the upcoming Emmy Awards on September 20.
After much anticipation, the premiere date for the second season of The Mandalorian has finally been announced. Din Djarin and the Child will swoop in on the Razor Crest and return to the streaming service just in time for Halloween, on October 30. Minimal information is known about the second season, outside of various casting news that includes the likes of Timothy Olyphant, Michael Biehn, Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan Kryze, Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett, and Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano.
A new teaser poster was also revealed with the announcement, and eagle-eyed fans will notice that our formidable bounty hunter is no longer alone on his journey this time around.
