The subscription service, Quibi, has released the first look image for their upcoming thriller Wireless!
From producer Steven Soderbergh (Ocean’s Eleven, Erin Brockovich) Wireless is a suspense thriller that follows college student Andy Braddock, who is driving to a New Year’s Eve party in the hopes to reconnect with his ex-girlfriend. While traveling on a scarcely traveled road in the Colorado mountains, Andy becomes distracted by his phone, causing him to crash into a snowbank. Now injured, and alone Andy has to turn to his quickly dying phone for rescue, but help is far from a phone call away.
Powered by Quibi, viewers can experience two narratives. Watch the film horizontally on your phone for a cinematic experience, or view the film vertically to experience Andy’s phone as your own as he fights to stay alive.
Starring Tye Sheridan (Ready Player One), Lukas Gage, Francesca Reale, Mace Coronel, Sydney Park, and Andie MacDowell. Wireless is written by Jack Seidman and Zach Wechter and directed by Zach Wechter. Wireless will have a 10 episode lineup and will premiere on Quibi September 14.
