Behold, the day has finally arrived for the release of Jordan Ifueko’s debut novel Raybearer!

Raybearer is the first book in the Raybearer Series. This epic YA fantasy follows Tarisai, who was raised in isolation by a mysterious mother known only as The Lady. When Tarisai is sent to the capital of the empire Aritsar, she must compete with other children for a spot on the Crown Prince’s Council of 11, where she will form a bond with the other members that runs deeper than blood. Tarisai wants nothing more than to feel the closeness and bond of family, but The Lady has other ideas, including a magical wish that will compel Tarisai to kill the Crown Prince. Tarisai must then decide if she’s strong enough to resist The Lady’s command and follow her own path.

To celebrate the release, Ifueko will be headlining a virtual tour beginning today, August 18, and running through August 21. Several other authors will join Ifueko at each stop, including Nic Stone (Dear Martin), Dhonielle Clayton (Tiny Pretty Things), Angie Thomas (The Hate U Give), Patrice Caldwell (A Phoenix First Must Burn), and Mark Oshiro (Anger Is a Gift).
