Auli’i Cravalho (Moana) is coming to Netflix to star in the drama film All Together Now. She will portray the role of Amber Appleton, whose dream is to study music at Carnegie Mellon University. Her character has many layers to her life, between work, volunteering, drama club, family life, and more. Will her dream come true?

The movie, based on the book Sorta Like A Rockstar written by Matthew Quick, will be on the streaming service beginning August 28. The trailer and poster were revealed exclusively in an Entertainment Weekly article, where director Brett Haley had this to say about Cravalho:

“When I read this script, I immediately thought of her. I immediately thought of her wonderfully bright and glowing personality. She lights up a room. She just has that quality. But she also has a depth that I don’t think many people are aware of.”

The film will also star Justina Machado, Carol Burnett, Fred Armisen, Judy Reyes, C.S. Lee, Haley Talbot, Gerald Isaac Waters, Ayanna Berkshire, Taylor Richardson, Rhenzy Feliz, and more.

All Together Now premieres on Netflix on August 28. You can watch the trailer below!
