It’s only July, but that doesn’t stop Carrie Underwood from announcing a holiday treat for fans. After first teasing it during a virtual fan club party earlier this summer, Underwood’s very first Christmas album, titled My Gift, will be releasing on September 25. In a new trailer she posted for the record, she says now felt like the perfect time more than ever to put out something like this. Underwood says that the inspiration for the title came from the song “Little Drummer Boy” and how it’s about leaving a gift for baby Jesus, she loves music and singing and she wants to use that gift and give it back to Jesus. “Now more than ever, we need to focus on what Christmas is about, rely more on our family.”

Pre-orders for My Gift are currently available here, and the album will also be released on Vinyl on October 30, with pre-orders available soon. My Gift will “feature a combination of beloved traditional favorites celebrating her faith and the spiritual nature of the holiday, as well as original material.” Tracklist, songwriters, and special guests will be revealed later.
