It’s only July, but that doesn’t stop Carrie Underwood from announcing a holiday treat for fans. After first teasing it during a virtual fan club party earlier this summer, Underwood’s very first Christmas album, titled My Gift, will be releasing on September 25. In a new trailer she posted for the record, she says now felt like the perfect time more than ever to put out something like this. Underwood says that the inspiration for the title came from the song “Little Drummer Boy” and how it’s about leaving a gift for baby Jesus, she loves music and singing and she wants to use that gift and give it back to Jesus. “Now more than ever, we need to focus on what Christmas is about, rely more on our family.”
I realize we’re in the middle of a summer heatwave, but I couldn’t wait to tell you….at long last, my very first Christmas album #MyGift is coming September 25! So much love has gone into this and I cannot wait to share it with you! ❤️🎁 https://t.co/98Tx1ZAwxA pic.twitter.com/7lcnLxoR8f
