Deaf icon and activist Nyle DiMarco has firmly rooted himself into the hearts of many, getting his start by winning America’s Next Top Model back in 2015, Dancing With the Stars in 2016, and expanding his career into acting on many shows such as Switched at Birth, Station 19, and This Close. It was recently announced by The Hollywood Reporter that Nyle will be getting an upcoming comedic series about his life in which he will star and executive produce.

The show is set to center around DiMarco’s experience being a savvy Deaf man in modern society with humorous storytelling to highlight the experience of deaf and hard of hearing individuals in America. DiMarco is an avid activist for underrepresented communities, especially the Deaf and LGBTQIA+ population which he aims to help through his philanthropic efforts in the Nyle DiMarco Foundation.

Alongside DiMarco, the producing team will include Daniel Dae Kim and John Cheng from 3AD as well as Sami Housman executive producing, Tara Bohn (3AD) co-executive producing, and Johnny Chiou associate producing. 3AD has a mission of bringing light to the stories of underrepresented communities and cultures, aligning perfectly with this piece’s purpose to bring insight into the Deaf community.

We can’t wait to learn more about this upcoming project. Stay tuned for updates.
