On July 10, Netflix will release its next original movie titled The Old Guard, based on the graphic novel of the same name by Greg Rucka. The Old Guard follows a group of immortal mercenaries who are suddenly exposed and hunted. While fighting to protect themselves, they find and recruit a new member to their team. The film was written by Rucka and directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood. It stars Charlize Theron, KiKi Lane, Matthias Schoenaerts, Marwan Kenzari, Harry Melling, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Luca Marinelli.
In anticipation of the upcoming film, Netflix has released a new trailer. In the trailer, Andy (played by Theron) recruits a new member, Nile (KiKi Lane), for their team, who doesn’t realize she’s like them. The team teaches Nile about their history and takes on a new mission in a fight to protect themselves, and they may finally be facing the threat of mortality. The trailer boasts an action-packed movie to keep viewers at the edge of their seats.
