The epic The Boys cast reunion livestream has just concluded, and it was just as chaotic, hilarious, and diabolical as expected.
In attendance was host Patton Oswalt, showrunner Eric Kripke, and our fabulous cast: Karl Urban (Billy Butcher), Jack Quaid (Hughie), Laz Alonso (Mother’s Milk), Tomer Capon (Frenchie), Karen Fukuhara (The Female/Kimiko), Erin Moriarty (Starlight), Antony Starr (Homelander), Chace Crawford (The Deep), Jessie T. Usher (A-Train), Colby Minifie (Ashley Barrett), Nathan Mitchell (Black Noir), and season 2’s wicked new recruit Aya Cash (Stormfront).
The livestream opened up with a challenging set of rules, in which the Boys had to refrain from using the word “Supes,” and team Supes had to avoid using the word, “Boys.” Failure to do so required them to take a shot of blue alcohol mimicking Compound V.
The cast answered a series of questions about the show, some of which were pulled from fans on Twitter. When the Boys were asked for a single word to describe the upcoming second season, they really delivered — anguish, damp, WHAT?, chunks, and b*tch (clearly we’re in for a ride).
Speaking of season 2, the long-awaited release date has finally been confirmed. The second season of Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys will arrive on September 4! Kripke also confirmed that the first three episodes will drop on September 4, and then the remaining five will air weekly on Fridays through October 9.
Keep reading for the season 2 synopsis:
The even more intense, more insane season 2 finds The Boys on the run from the law, hunted by the Supes, and desperately trying to regroup and fight back against Vought. In hiding, Hughie, Mother’s Milk, Frenchie and Kimiko try to adjust to a new normal, with Butcher nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, Starlight must navigate her place in The Seven as Homelander sets his sights on taking complete control. His power is threatened with the addition of Stormfront, a social media-savvy new Supe, who has an agenda of her own. On top of that, the Supervillain threat takes center stage and makes waves as Vought seeks to capitalize on the nation’s paranoia.

Today’s livestream finished up with a special preview of the first three minutes of the second season. Watch the replay below.
