Hulu Releases First Clip for ‘Love, Victor’

During a livestream event called “Together in Pride: You Are Not Alone,” benefitting GLAAD, Hulu dropped the first clip from their upcoming original series Love, Victor.

In the clip, Victor is at a coffee shop to interview for a job. His classmate, Benji, who also happens to be the assistant manager, teaches him how to make a drink, but Victor clearly has more than coffee on the mind. If this first look is any indication, Love, Victor is sure to be a hilariously awkward and heartwarming show. Watch the clip below.

The new upcoming show takes place in the same universe at the film Love, Simon, which is based on the book Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli. It will follow Victor, a new student at Creekwood High School, as he struggles with challenges at home, living in a new city, and learning about and exploring his sexual orientation. The show stars Michael Cimino as Victor, Sophia Bush, James Martinez, Isabella Ferreira, George, Sear, Ana Ortiz, Mason Gooding, and Mateo Fernandez. It was created by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, who both wrote the screenplay for Love, Simon, and executive produced This Is Us.

Love, Victor is set to premiere on Hulu on June 19.
