Netflix Lineup: What’s Coming and Going May 2020

May is just around the corner, and so is a slew of new titles coming to Netflix. With the pandemic shutting down productions and cutting seasons short, some shows will have their latest seasons on the streaming platform earlier than expected, including Grey’s AnatomyRiverdale, and The Flash. Original titles include the new show Hollywood, created by Ryan Murphy, season 2 of the hit series Dead to Me, and Sweet Magnolias, starring Jamie Lynn Spears.

Titles leaving Netflix include the film John Carter, which will be hopping over to Disney+ the day after, all seven seasons of Scandal, and My Girl, along with several other fan-favorite films and shows.

Check out everything that will be coming and going on Netflix for May 2020, so you can get your binge on, or final watch, during the quarantine.

What’s Coming

The new limited series from Ryan Murphy stars Darren Criss and “follows a group of aspiring actors and filmmakers in post-World War II Hollywood as they try to make it in Tinseltown — no matter the cost. Each character offers a unique glimpse behind the gilded curtain of Hollywood’s Golden Age, spotlighting the unfair systems and biases across race, gender, and sexuality that continue to this day.”

Dead to Me: Season 2

The popular series starring Linda Cardellini and Christina Applegate is back for round two. The show follows a widow searching for the hit-and-run driver who hit her husband as she befriends an eccentric optimist who isn’t quite what she seems.
