With the premiere of Stargirl just one month away, DC Universe and The CW have released a new trailer for the series! The TV spot, titled “Strength and Heroism,” is a little more humorous than the previous trailers and features a lot more Joel McHale as Starman. We also get a lot more of the relationship between Courtney (Stargirl) and her stepfather Pat (S.T.R.I.P.E) as she settles into her new role as Stargirl. Both The CW and DC Universe released their own posters for the new show, with one revealing a look at some of the other characters on the show and the other focusing on Courtney herself.

The show is executive produced by Geoff Johns, who also created the original comic book character in memory of his sister, and Berlanti Productions. Stargirl will feature Brec Bassinger, Luke Wilson, Henry Thomas, Lou Ferrigno Jr., Amy Smart, Meg DeLancy, Nelson Lee, and Trae Romano. The series is a partnership between streaming service DC Universe and The CW (the home of the Arrowverse.)
Stargirl will premiere Monday, May 18 on DC Universe and will air on Tuesday, May 19 on The CW (a change from the previously announced dates of May 11 and 12). Check out the new trailer below!
