Tony Award nominee Caitlin Kinnunen from Broadway’s The Prom has announced that she will star as Ursula in The Kennedy Center’s Production of Broadway Center Stage: Bye Bye Birdie.

She will be joining a wonderful cast which includes James Van Der Beek (Dawson’s Creek) as Albert, Carly Hughes (Pippin) as Rose, Mallory Bechtel (Dear Evan Hansen) as Kim, Ann Harda (Emojiland) as Mrs. MacAfee, Tony Award nominee Reg Rogers (Tootsie) as Mr. MacAfee, and four-time Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein (Hairspray) as Mae, Albert’s mother.

Broadway Center Stage performances are presented as semi-staged concerts, which means the actors may carry scripts for various scenes of their performances. There will be a total of eight performances from April 23 to April 28, with tickets ranging from $59.00 to $215.00. You can find more information here.

Bye Bye Birdie is a four-time Tony Award-winning rock n’ roll musical about teen idol Conrad Birdie. He is “drafted into the army, but before he leaves, he’ll perform a new song on The Ed Sullivan Show and give one last kiss to a lucky fan.”
