‘Friends’ Reunion Special Coming to HBO Max

It’s finally happening! Friends fans can rejoice, as it’s been made official that the cast is coming together for a reunion special for WarnerMedia’s new streaming platform HBO Max. Entertainment Weekly reported that the original six cast members, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer will reunite for an exclusive untitled, unscripted special. HBO Max, which is set to launch in May, will air the unscripted reunion special and will have all 236 episodes of the series available to subscribers.

The cast announced the reunion first, each of them posting about the news on their social media accounts.

The special will be directed by Ben Winston (The Late Late Show with James Corden), who will also executive produce along with Friends executive producers Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman, and David Crane. The six original cast members will also executive produce.
