Alanis Morissette has just released her new single called “Smiling.” This new hauntingly beautiful song is part of her upcoming album entitled “Such Pretty Forks in the Road” which comes out on May 1.

You may recognize this tune as song by Elizabeth Stanley from the new Broadway musical Jagged Little Pill. During the making of the musical, Morissette played it as a piano track for Diablo Cody (book), Diane Paulus (director), and Tom Kitt (music supervisor, orchestrator, and arranger), who took the song into their own direction for the musical.

You can listen and download “Smiling” on a variety of music services here!
