‘Supernatural’’s Mitch Pileggi to Star in ‘Walker, Texas Ranger’

We’re in the last countdown towards Supernatural’s exploding final arc starting in March, but for now, we have Jared Padalecki’s new series Walker, Texas Ranger, to feed our impending appetites.

In fact, as a producer for the series, he’s making the transition a little easier by casting another Supernatural elite. This time, Mitch Pileggi will be joining as Bonham Walker, Cordell Walker’s father. Deadline describes the character as “sturdy, conservative and tough as nails but a family man through and through. A third-generation Texas rancher, he’s most comfortable taking care of business on the ranch — in the bullpen, supervising cowboys, training horses.”

Walker, Texas Ranger will see a reimagining of the 1990s crime series with Chuck Norris once at the helm, only with an exciting mix of the 21st century. While there is no release date as of yet, we can’t wait to see Padalecki sink his teeth into another character.
