Along with the new year came more guest announcements, including: Angie Thomas, bestselling author of The Hate U Give and On the Come Up; Aisha Saeed (Amal Unbound) and Becky Albertalli (Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda), who recently published Yes No Maybe So on February 4; Sabaa Tahir, author of the An Ember in the Ashes series; and Stephanie Garber, author of the Caraval series.

Previously announced guests include Nic Stone (Dear Martin, Shuri: A Black Panther Novel), Elisabeth Thomas (Catherine House), Melissa Albert (The Night Country), Ransom Riggs (Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children), and more.

BookCon also announced their “Read with Pride” panel, which will feature Bill Konigsberg (Openly Straight), Lucas Rocha (Where We Go From Here), Leah Johnson (You Should See Me in a Crown), and Alice Oseman (Loveless). During the panel they will discuss their latest books with LGBTQ+ characters.
