‘The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’ Coming to Disney+ this August!
The ever-patient fans of the Winter Soldier, Bucky Barnes, don’t have much longer to wait to see their hero in the spotlight. Today on the Disney Earnings Call it was announced that The Falcon and the Winter Solider will be releasing on Disney+ in August along with The Mandalorian season 2 in October and WandaVision in December.
With Steve Rogers out of the picture, the world is left without a Captain America. With the shield in hand, it would seem that Sam Wilson is the perfect fit — chosen by Captain America himself — but perhaps the government has another idea. Starring Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter, Daniel Brühl as Zemo, and Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent John Walker, the official synopsis from Disney and Marvel reads:
Following the events of ‘Avengers: Endgame’, Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) team up in a global adventure that tests their abilities — and their patience — in Marvel Studios’ ‘The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’. The all-new series is directed by Kari Skogland; Malcolm Spellman is the head writer. Debuts on Disney+ this fall.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is set to be a 6-episode series and will stream exclusively on Disney+ this August!
