‘His Dark Materials’ Receives November Premiere Date

His Dark Materials, which is based on the trilogy of novels — Northern Lights (also known as The Golden Compass), The Subtle Knife, and The Amber Spyglass — written by Philip Pullman has a premiere date of November 4.

The eight episode first season will cover all the events from the first book, Northern Lights. Set in a parallel universe, the series will follow Lyra (Dafne Keen) as she journeys to the Arctic in search of her missing friend and imprisoned uncle.

The cast includes Dafne Keen (as Lyra Belacqua), Andrew Scott (as Colonel John Parry), Ruth Wilson (as Mrs. Coulter), James McAvoy (as Lord Asriel), and Lin-Manuel Miranda (as Lee Scoresby).
