Release may be a little over two months away, but it’s always good to have all the details in advance.
There have been many questions surrounding Disney’s new streaming service, some of which have been how many simultaneous streams can you have on one account? The $7/month service will include four available streams on one account, and seven different user profiles–complete with your favorite Disney character to add as your avatar (I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a Steve Rogers.)
Streams will be available in 4K, Ultra High Def (UHD), and High Dynamic Range qualities and have a “kids mode” designed for children 7 years and younger. It’s important to note that kids mode does not come equipped with PIN protection to prevent switching back-and-forth between interfaces, but it is something they’re looking into. It has been noted that most content will fall between the PG-13 rating and below.

With Disney+ being as loaded with original content as it is, it’s also been asked how will Disney be releasing its new shows such as The Mandalorian, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and The World According to Jeff Goldblum. Will it be binge-style like Netflix, releasing all at once? Or take Hulu’s weekly release approach? The answer: weekly. So while you may not be able to sit and take in all 23 episodes of Marvel’s What If…? at once on release day, you’ll have that little glimmer of joy ready to welcome you back every week.
Disney+ releases November 12 in the U.S., Canada and the Netherlands, with other countries dates still being announced.
