Among the new images and teasers from upcoming Marvel projects coming in from D23 Expo last month, there was a first look at an exclusive poster designed by Ryan Meinerding of the Disney+ series The Falcon And The Winter Soldier, which will be premiering on the streaming service next year.

Corresponding with reveals made during the Disney+ panel, the costume Sam Wilson/Falcon (played by Anthony Mackie) is wearing on the poster can be linked to the storyline in the comics where Sam Wilson has to fight for his title of Captain America after taking the shield post Steve Rogers’ death. As Wyatt Russell was announced to be playing a character called U.S. Agent, this would fit with the narrative of the stories. Next to Sam Wilson is Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (played by Sebastian Stan), whose outfit looks like a variation of the uniform he wore in Avengers: Infinity War, but also bears resemblance to his uniform from the 40s as a member of the Howling Commandos. His signature long hair has also disappeared, showing more likeness with the World War II version of Bucky Barnes than that of the Winter Soldier.

Conny joined her first fandom at the tender age of three and somehow never stopped finding new things to obsess about and love. Her current love is everything Marvel, especially two characters who tend to be frozen at one point or the other. From Drag Race to Harry Potter or musical theatre, as long as it makes her smile (or cry), it’s probably her thing.
