Mr. Iglesias has been renewed for a second season!

Mr. Iglesias is a multi-camera comedy about Gabe Iglesias (Gabriel Iglesias), a high school history teacher who takes on a group of students the school would rather “counsel out” due to their low performance hurting the school’s statistics. But Gabe knows that his students have the potential to do great things given the right circumstances, and he is not willing to give up on them.

The show has been streaming on Netflix since June 21 and has been getting good ratings so far. Currently, it is sitting at a 7.2 out of 10 at IMDb and an 82% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Kevin Hench will return as showrunner for season two. Additionally, Hench will continue to serve as executive producer alongside Gabriel Iglesias, Joe Meloce and Ron De Blasio.

Gabriel Iglesias is one of the most successful comedians out there, regularly selling out even the biggest arenas. He recently got a Funko Pop doll and the demand for the exclusive version garnered 16,500,000 hits on his website! There is no date set for the second season, but after rewatching season one of Mr. Iglesias you can watch his comedy specials on Netflix, or why not go and see him live at one of the Beyond the Fluffy World Tour dates?
