‘Freaks’ Reveals New Release Date, New Poster

The upcoming horror thriller Freaks, starring Emile Hirsch and Bruce Dern, has a new nationwide theatrical release date.

We reported previously that Freaks would be released on August 23rd. But opting to up the overall excitement and creepiness of the film, Well Go USA will release it instead on Friday, September the 13th. The plot of the movie is described as follows:

In this science-fiction thriller, a disturbed father (Emile Hirsch) locks his bold 7-year-old daughter (Lexy Kolker) in a house, warning her of grave dangers outside. But the mysterious Mr. Snowcone (Bruce Dern) convinces the girl to escape and join him on a quest for family, freedom, and revenge.

Also, Studio Ronin’s Chris Shy has designed and released an exclusive poster for the film that announces its new release date.

Freaks has already racked up several awards, including the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival’s Jury Prize, the Vancouver International Fantastic Film Festival’s Emerging Filmmaker Award, and the Paris International Fantastic Film Festival’s Best Film – Audience Award.
