The Jon Favreau directed photo-real take on Disney’s 1994 mega hit The Lion King is just 50 days from today. Not that we’re counting or anything.

Okay, yeah, we’re counting.

With a theatrical release date of July 19, audiences have already spent countless hours analyzing the trailer shot by shot, recalling the lyrics to favorite songs (ahem, I Just Can’t Wait to Be King), and debating how “Beyonce” Nala will be.

As if that wasn’t enough to get us fully hyped, Disney has released 11 new character posters for fans to scrutinize. Take a look at the new artwork showcasing Favreau’s use of cutting-edge technology that makes the African animals look more live-action than animated.

The Lion King will feature a voice cast of Donald Glover, Beyonce Knowles-Carter, James Earl Jones, Seth Rogen, and Chiwetel Ejiofor. Check out the trailer here.
