FX’s Marvel series Legion will be ending after a third and final season airs this year. Creator Noah Hawley had initially laid the series out to be a three-season arc.

Season three will also see the addition of new characters: Lauren Tsai as Switch, Harry Lloyd (Game of Thrones) will play David’s father Professor X, and Stephanie Corneliussen (Mr. Robot) will play his mother, Gabrielle.

Legion follows David Haller (Dan Stevens), who has a history of psychiatric issues and discovers that he has mutant powers. As the series progresses, he battles not only his mind but the Shadow King as well. The Shadow King tends to appear in the form of David’s friend Lenny (Aubrey Plaza).  Along the way, he meets the beautiful Syd (Rachel Keller), whom he is drawn towards.
