Evanna Lynch Through to ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Finale

Evanna Lynch might be known for her role as Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter film franchise but she has wowed Dancing With the Stars fans and judges with her amazing dance skills this season. Last night, Evanna earned her second perfect score of the season with a moving contemporary dance dedicated to her friend and director Simon Fitzmaurice, who was diagnosed with ALS and passed away last year.

“Powerful, strong, heartfelt; totally in the moment,” praised DWTS Judge Bruno Tonioli. “The storytelling was flawless and your dancing was brilliant.”
Judge Carrie Ann Inaba also had nothing but compliments for the young actress, “You dance as if you are the essence of life. You have become a warrior. It was fierce and it was loud, and I’m proud.”
“Powerful, polished performance and I loved it,” said Judge Len Goodman.
Show host Erin Andrews asked Evanna how the dance felt. “It felt like all the things Simon taught me,” reflected Evanna, “be as bold and as vibrant as you can.”
Her dancing partner Keo Motsepe was equally emotional over the perfect performance. This is the farthest in the competition that Keo has been since he joined the cast in 2014.

Their second dance of the night, a foxtrot, presented the duo with a chance to tackle the same dance style that earned them low scores in week one. True to form, Evanna and Keo dominated with a breathtaking dance earning 28 total points from the judges.

“I thought I saw a mistake there,” began Len to the dismay of the crowd. He followed it with, “however I enjoyed the dance.”
“It’s like watching another girl from what I saw in week one,” remembered Bruno, “Everything about your performance is so much more focused.”
“When I was watching you dance I was overwhelmed with emotion,” stated Carrie Ann. “Thank you for touching my heart tonight.”
Evanna and Keo have danced their way into the finale, which will air Monday, November 19 at 8 p.m. EST. Tune in to see if Evanna will win the coveted Dancing with the Stars Mirror Ball trophy!
